Police in Armagh are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of a fire in the Orangefield Close area at 10pm on Thursday, May 25.
Inspector Conway said: “We received a report that an oil tank at the back of a property had been set alight. Our colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire.
“Enquiries are underway to ascertain the how the fire was started. Thankfully no persons were injured.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place or who may have captured CCTV footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 2230 25/05/23.”

Three fire appliances – two from Armagh and one from Keady – attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the NI Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to an oil tank on fire. They used one jet to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate ignition and the incident was dealt with by 10.51pm.”
