Police operation launched after suspicious object found on outskirts of Armagh

A suspicious object has been discovered on the outskirts of Armagh this afternoon (Tuesday).

Police are currently in attendance in the Ballyards Road area of Milford as a result of the report.

Cordons are in place and members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.

Police have already cleared the road of walkers as they continue to safely examine the suspect item.
