Police are to return to the scene of a fatal road traffic collision to carry out tests later this evening (Tuesday).
Officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit will close the Gosford Road in Markethill, where Patrick Grimley, his wife, Ciera Grimley, and friend Ciara McIlvanna lost their lives, as a result of a collision on Saturday, November 4.
Their taxi bus, which also contained three other people and the driver, was returning from a night out in Dundalk, where Patrick had been celebrating his 40th birthday, when the accident happened.
This evening, testing at the scene will be carried out by officers and the A28 is expected to be closed from 8pm until approximately 2am.
Diversions will be in place at the junction of Tandragee Road in Markethill and Kidds Road in Newry.
Residents will be facilitated access where possible.
Police have asked the public for their patience as this work is carried out.
