Live: Power lines and trees down as Storm Ali wreaks havoc for morning commuters

Storm Ali is, as expected, is wreaking havoc across the county this morning (Wednesday).

Winds of up to 75mph are battering Co Armagh, and indeed the whole of Northern Ireland.

Traffic on the M1 has been at a complete standstill for almost two hours after power cables fell across both city and country bound lanes near Lisburn.

Trees are down across the county with the Annvale Road in Keady (main image) impassable.

In the Republic of Ireland, a woman has died after her caravan was swept off a cliff by the winds.

It is understood the woman in her 50s was sleeping in the caravan when strong winds lifted it from the ground near Cliffden in Co Galway.
