The director of an Armagh-based construction hire company has said that his business is going to keep pushing on “hell for leather,” despite cost-of-living woes.
With the struggles faced by businesses today, it’s not easy for owners to maintain a positive attitude, but Ryan Fegan, the director of Procon Skyhire in Armagh, says that despite the doom and gloom of today’s economic climate, he’s determined to put his “best foot forward” to keep the business growing.
And grow it has done.
The business, which is a platform hire company specialised for working at heights, came from humble beginnings with a two man team – today it boasts clients such as Facebook and Amazon.
They offer a comprehensive fleet of powered access platforms for working at height, including: electric and diesel scissors, electric and diesel cherry pickers and telehandlers.
They have around 90 machines available as part of the current portfolio, with new machines being acquired all the time.
Ryan says that he “took a chance” when the business was set up back in 2018 after he noticed a gap in the construction market in Dublin.
“We spent a lot on machinery”, he added.
The businesses started off small, and has just kept growing since then, with Ryan raising his ambitions for the company to keep going.
He said: “We just want it to be ten times bigger, but we’re growing all the time. We have our own marketing team, office staff, engineers and delivery drivers. My ambition is to just make it bigger. We love getting new clients on board.”
Ryan says that customer service is at the heart of the business and everything they do.
With offices based both in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, they are ideally based to help respond to queries quickly and offer high-quality solutions across the island.
