School bus carrying 15 St Catherine’s Armagh pupils involved in early-morning crash

A school bus carrying 15 pupils from St Catherine’s College in Armagh was involved in a road traffic collision in the Moy area on Friday morning.

Police confirmed they received a report at around 7.50am on January 16 of a collision involving a bus on the Benburb Road.

No injuries were reported and officers were not required to attend the scene.

The conditions on the road were understood to have caused the vehicle difficulties.

The Education Authority (EA) also confirmed the incident, stating that an EA-operated bus with 15 pupils on board was involved in the collision at approximately 7.45am.

In a statement, an EA spokesperson said: “Thankfully, no injuries were reported and all the children were safely transported from the scene by parents or family members.

“A review of the circumstances of the incident will be undertaken.”

There was no disruption reported to other road users in the area following the incident.
