There are currently long tailbacks on the main Armagh to Newry Road following an two-vehicle road accident this afternoon.
The accident took place near Gosford Forest Park in Markethill between junctions of Ballyvally Road and Tandragee Road around 4pm this afternoon.
Emergency services are currently at the scene with firefighters being deployed to help remove a female from one vehicle.
The road has been blocked in both directions.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as long delays are expected.
Due to two vehicle RTC Gosford Road, Markethill is closed between junctions of Ballyvally Road and Tandragee Road.

Elsewhere, police are in attendance at the scene of an accident in Banbridge.
It is understood the collision, which occurred at the junction between the Downshire Road and Downshire Place, involved a school bus and a car.
Carla Lockhart MLA posted: “Folks it was a collision between a car and bus, everyone is ok! No kids hurt. Will be cleared very soon.” Reports also claim that a number of roads in the area are closed.”
