The M1 near Lisburn has been closed in both directions because of a power line down.
Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon police are reporting of “significant disruption” following the incident between Lisburn and the Blacks Road.
Commuters are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route as huge delays are expected.
A Met Office amber weather warning for high winds is in place from 8am through to 5pm this evening.
