Police in Armagh are continuing to appeal for information, after damage was caused to a defibrillator at commercial premises on the Killylea Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Sergeant Douglas said: “We received a report at approximately 12.35pm that damage had been caused to both the defibrillator and the cabinet it was stored in.
“It’s believed that the damage occurred shortly before 2am on Saturday morning.
“A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released following questioning, and will be reported to the Youth Diversion Officer (YDO).
“Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who has any information which could assist us, to get in touch.”
Sergeant Douglas continued: “A defibrillator is a vital piece of equipment, which is there for the benefit of the public, and could mean the difference between life and death for someone.
“The number to call is 101, and the reference number to quote is 842 of 14/08/21.”
