Oggies Dessert Bar – Banbridge

Located in the heart of Banbridge, Oggies Dessert Bar is known for it’s generous portions, friendly staff and ever evolving sweet treats!

Oggies started out in 2019, after owner Darren Ogle spent several years working on the hit TV series Game of Thrones, but knowing he wanted to create something of his own -a brand, a space, a vibe – a meeting with a local ice cream supplier is what inspired the business idea.

Oggies are known for their wide range of delicious desserts, all made with care and a little Oggies’ magic. With a varied menu bestsellers include: The famous Oggie pot, loaded milkshakes, crepes, waffles, warm cookie dough, doughballs, cookies, cookie pies, whippy ice cream, sweets, fresh brewed coffee and colourful slushies – with a choice of 20 toppings available to add to your sweet treat!

The star of the show is their handcrafted gelato, made using fresh milk from Ballydown Farm – located just 0.8miles from their shop!

With a choice of 18 flavours to choose from, each made in house with care and creativity – and new flavours added weekly taking inspiration from new in and trending chocolate and biscuits. Their newest sensation is the Dubai Chocolate Gelato – a rich indulgent flavour that’s become so popular, people are travelling from all over the country to try it!

Oggies believe customer service is everything and their team is the heart of their success – with an accessible store with indoor seating for everyone to enjoy.

Last year, Oggies added a special feature to their store, a ‘Sweet Nook’ Pick ‘n Mix corner – a tribute to Darren’s father who owned a sweet shop in the 80s.

Oggies Dessert Bar is located on 21 Rathfriland Street, Banbridge, right beside Solitude Park, and is opened seven days a week.
