Tributes paid to ‘beautiful’ soul who left lasting impression on everyone she knew

Laura McQuade Tynan

Tributes have been paid to “a beautiful soul” who battled bravely against a cruel disease that has “robbed this world of your beautiful presence”.

Laura McQuade, from Tynan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, surrounded by her family, at Belfast City Hospital.

She was the beloved daughter of Teresa and the late Kevin McQuade; and beautiful sister of Martina, Paula and Cathy.

Laura had a smile that could light up any room and social media was awash with tributes to a young woman who clearly left an indelible mark on the lives of so many people.

One person wrote: “You fought so hard beautiful Laura against this cruel disease that has robbed this world of your beautiful presence. We can all take comfort knowing your battle peacefully ceased knowing heaven has gained an extraordinary angel. Thank you for all the joy, laughter and love you gifted us with all who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest in peace pet and give your Daddy the biggest hug. You will be eternally missed.”

Former school friends recalled Laura’s “beautiful soul” and how she was such “a lovely genuine and caring girl”.

Others mention her fun nature which underpinned a wonderful personality – she was “such a lovely, funny girl who always had time for people. One of life true genuine characters”.

Laura’s time on this earth, tragically cut short, will clearly live long in the memory of all those who knew and loved her.

“Heaven has gained a most precious and beautiful angel, you will be deeply missed,” wrote one woman.

“We will always remember the good times,” said another friend.

Laura’s remains are reposing at her late residence, 266c Monaghan Road, Tynan, today (Friday) and Saturday from 2pm.

Leaving her residence on Sunday, April 10 at 10:45am arriving for requiem mass at 11:30am in St John’s Church Middletown and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Very deeply regretted by her heart broken family and friends.
