Police have arrested two men after an assault in Armagh this afternoon (Tuesday).
A report was received shortly after 2:20pm stating that a man in his 50s was assaulted by two men in a house in the Ballynahone Crescent area.
Police officers attended and arrested two men, aged 40 and 53, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. The 40-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault on police.
Both men remain in police custody at this time.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Police Inspector Browne said: “Officers remain in the area to conduct enquiries and we are appealing to anyone with information, who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage, to contact police at www.psni.police.uk/report or phone 101 quoting reference 951 of 16/01/24.”
