Two women were viciously assaulted in separate incidents in the space of 24 hours in the Armagh area.
And police are appealing for witnesses to come forward in a bid to help identify those responsible.
Detective Inspector Lynne Knox said: “These are two separate incidents and police are not linking them at this time – but we would like to hear from members of the public who may have information that would help our investigation.
“Between 12.30am and 1.30am on Sunday, October 29, a woman was assaulted by a male intruder when she returned to her house in the Railway Street area of Armagh.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious should get in touch with police on 101 quoting reference 1230 of 30/10/17.”
She continued: “The second incident took place in the early hours of the following morning.
“Around half past midnight on Monday, October 30, a woman was assaulted by a man at her home in the Victoria Court/Maynooth Road area of Richhill.
“She suffered a number of injuries in the incident.
“Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a sporty, white BMW driving in the area or witnessed anything unusual around this time. Please quote reference 49 30/10/17.
“We need help from the public to identify the persons concerned and would ask anyone who can assist in any way to get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101.
