An unlikely – but mutually beneficial – partnership has formed between students at Southern Regional College and the teams at Vincent’s shops in Armagh and Portadown in an effort to boost sustainable fashion practices across the borough.
Vincent’s shops in Armagh and Portadown have created a pop up clearance event in collaboration with business students to bring fantastic deals to the local community.
There’ll be bargains galore from men’s fashions to ladies garments and children’s clothes. Footwear and accessories will also be on sale. And everything will be priced at just £1!
SVP Member Anne McLarnon, Chair of Vincent’s Regional Retail Committee, said: “We are really looking forward to this pop up shop event coming to Armagh. There’s great enthusiasm for bringing the idea to the local community as Vincent’s have already hosted a number of clearance events across the Northern Region which have been hugely successful.
“This partnership arose organically when several students began volunteering in Vincent’s in Armagh and Portadown as part of their course.
“Vincent’s commitment to sustainability further strengthened the bond between the students and the shops and they have worked with the shop managers, staff and volunteers to develop and organise the event.
“I wish everyone every success with the pop up and I trust the local community will come out and support their local Vincent’s and the students at the pop up next week.”
Vincent’s collaboration with Southern Regional College’s business students has been integral to the event’s organisation.
The students have played a pivotal role in designing posters, co-ordinating tasks, and will oversee the event’s operations on the day alongside Vincent’s team members from Armagh and Portadown.
Vincent’s Pop Up takes place on Friday March 22, from 10am until 3pm. The event is being held at Southern Regional College, Lisanally Building, Armagh, BT61 7HF.
