A walk from Moy to Armagh is taking place this Saturday, August 6 in aid of the charity, Mary’s Meals.
It will start at 12.45pm with walkers finishing the 8.5 mile route at the charity’s centre in Dobbin Street.
This is the latest walk in the past few weeks. Others have taken place from Newry to Poyntzpass, Poyntzpass to Portadown, Coalisland to Dungannon and from Dungannon to Moy.
They are part of the annual ‘Step by Step to Feed the Next Child’ project.
Walks take place in five different locations throughout Ireland, finishing in Knock on August 15.
The local section has been organised by the charity’s Armagh and Benburb branch with the aim of ensuring that every child can have a meal at school in some of the world’s poorest countries.
It costs just £15.90 to feed a child for a whole school year, with Mary’s Meals feeding more than two million children every school day in 20 countries.
Everyone is welcome to join the walkers for all or part of the route. To find out more, contact organiser John McKenna on 07515 288 224.
