The International Space Station (ISS) was visible to the naked eye above Armagh city on Saturday night.
The clear skies paved the way for a pretty clear shot of the satellite as it made it’s orbit around the Earth.
ISS is the largest man-made body in low Earth orbit and can often be seen with the naked eye but given our weather and geographical position, it’s not too often we get to see it.
This footage, kindly sent to Armagh I by Shane McShane, was shot using a mobile phone at approximately 11.30pm.
As you can see, the ISS was very visible in the clear night sky.
The Space Station is a collaboration of 15 nations working together to create a state-of-the-art orbiting research facility; it is an international human experiment.
