Almost a week on from one of the most devastating storms in recent memory, water supplies have been restored for everyone in Co Armagh.
However, power remains off for many residents in rural areas of the county.
As of Thursday morning approximately 16,000 customers remained without electricity across Northern Ireland. Power has now been restored to 269,000 properties.
NI Water, this afternoon, confirmed the water assets impacted by Storm Éowyn are now operational and that all customers should have their water supply as normal.
Director of Customer & Operations, Stephanie McCullagh, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank local councils, agencies and elected representatives who have been working alongside us to distribute bottled water, assist with access to our sites and help identify vulnerable customers.
“This has been a massive joint effort, made much easier by the patience and understanding of the customers impacted.
“While the commitment and dedication shown by NI Water staff does not surprise me, the sheer efforts and lengths they have gone to under unprecedented weather conditions are truly commendable, and once again shines a light on how vital water and our water workers are to our daily lives.”
Meanwhile, an NIE spokesperson said: “We continue to work tirelessly to restore power to all those still affected across Northern Ireland. We have over 1,550 staff and contractors escalated, additional support from other countries and further support on the way.
“Over the coming days there may be occasions when householders experience interruption to their electricity supply as we undertake permanent repairs and work to restore all those impacted.
“Employees from our contact centre may also be in contact to check that supply has been restored. We have also been made aware of scam messages claiming to come from NIE Networks in relation to compensation.
“NIE Networks is not issuing messages in relation to this and would not be asking for personal details or directing you to click URLs. We ask that customers do not engage, block and report the suspicious number.
“Additionally, we are aware that people have called at properties claiming to be from NIE Networks. Our employees will always carry ID. If you have any concerns please call 03457 643 643 to check their identity.”
