Two taxis had windows smashes and a van windscreen was shattered, while an Ulsterbus also came under fire from stone throwers last night.
The incidents happened in the Camlough Road area of Newry and police arrested two males for public order offences.
They were due to be questioned today.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie Casey said there was grave concern about the ongoing stoning of vehicles travelling along the Camlough Road by youths “using Carnagat Hill as a launch pad”.
“These incidents are now a regular occurrence,” he said.
“I share the anger and frustration of the local community that the area is being used as a launch pad to attack motorists and their vehicles.
“This is not high jinks or fun, ultimately a driver, passenger or pedestrian will be killed or seriously injured.”
His colleague Mickey Brady MLA echoed his sentiments.
“This latest attack is a cause of major concern,”he said.
“Those engaged in these type of anti-social activities are not only causing distress and anger within the local community but also endangering people and property.
“I appeal to those involved to take stock of their actions and the potential deadly consequences and stop immediately.”
