Man who died in crash on A1 named locally

One man is in critical condition in hospital

A man who died in a road traffic collision in Banbridge yesterday (Tuesday) has been named locally as Ian Cameron.

The county Down man, who was in his 40s, died following the crash near on the A1 near The Outlet.

The crash has also left another man fighting for his life in hospital.

He is currently in intensive care at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where his condition has been described as critical.

The road re-opened around 10pm last night after investigators concluded their work.

It had been closed from the time of the accident at around 12.30pm.
