One of Northern Ireland’s leading entertainment venues could be in line for a further welcome investment in 2017.
The Coach complex – at Church Square in Banbridge – is already home to a thriving nightclub, bar and grill.
And now the owners hope to add an additional bar – on the roof!
The Coach has been for many years a leading port of call for revellers from all over and is now recognised as the oldest nightclub in the north.
It was taken over by Osiris in the summer of 2014 and has never looked back.
The venue underwent a £1 million refurbishment at that time and now this additional investment is planned.
A string of top DJs have cemented its reputation as a must for all club enthusiasts – it is a multi-purpose venue capable of drawing top names in the industry.
But now the owners are planning further changes to add even more to the experience.
A proposal to alter the roofline of the premises has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
The owners hope to construct a new rooftop bar which will provide even more choice for customers.
Planning officials are currently considering the proposal and have informed neighbouring properties of the plans.
A decision would be expected in the coming months.
