An elderly woman disturbed two men in middle of burgling her home this afternoon (Wednesday).
Police have issued an urgent appeal for information and help from the public following the disturbing incident in Banbridge.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “At around 12.45pm today an elderly female disturbed two men in her home on Mount Ida Road, Banbridge.
“One male was wearing a baseball cap and dark hoody, the other wearing a high-vis jacket.
“Thankfully the lady was not injured but is understandably very shaken.
“The suspects ran off. This is right beside the A1 so the suspects could be anywhere by now. If you were in the area of Mount Ida Road at that time and have dash cam footage, please back it up, and call us immediately on 101.
“You could have the suspects on camera without even realising. The reference is 550 of today, 18/04/18.”
Police added: “We also want to hear from you if: You had anyone matching that description call at your door in the area; you saw a vehicle they were with; you have CCTV covering the road and live on Mount Ida Road”
