A couple and their young child had a lucky escape after an overnight arson attack.
Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime are appealing for information following the incident in the Summerhill Brae area of Banbridge during the early hours of this morning, Saturday.
Police received a report of a car on fire at around 2.40am this morning.
Officers attended and found that a car had been set alight. The fire had also spread to a house, causing damage to the vehicle and the property.
A man and woman and their young child who were in the house at the time were not injured.
Detective Inspector Gawley said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who noticed any activity in this area in the hours prior to this incident. We can be contacted on 101.”
