Two houses have been ransacked during burglaries in Banbridge and Loughbrickland with cash and jewellery taken from one of the properties.
Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses in relation to the incidents on Wednesday.
Detective Sergeant Johnston said: “Police received a report that entry was gained to a house in the Greenan Drive area of Loughbrickland sometime between 9.30am and 5.15pm, and the property ransacked.
“It was reported that a jewellery and a sum of cash were taken during the incident.
“A second report was received that entry was gained to a house in the East End Terrace area of Banbridge sometime between 2.40pm and three pm on the same date.
“An upstairs bedroom was ransacked, and damage was caused to blinds, however, it is not believed at this time that anything was taken.
