A Banbridge man accused of exposing himself and engaging in sexual activity in front of two pre-teenage children has been remanded in custody.
The 32-year-old accused appeared before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning.
Gary Steven Smith, of Chinauley Park, faced five charges.
He faces two charges of exposing himself and two of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under the age of 13.
Smith is also charged with committing an act and outraging public decency by exposing his penis and masturbating.
The offences are alleged to have been committed at Castlewellan Road, Banbridge, on Wednesday.
The prosecution asked that the case be adjourned.
Smith was remanded in custody to Maghaberry Prison.
He is due to appear back before Banbridge Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Newry, next Thursday.
