A man has been arrested following reports of a stabbing in Banbridge last night.
Police said they were called to a report of a stabbing shortly after 6pm in Brookfield Meadow area of the town.
However, nobody presented with injuries consistent with being stabbed. A man and a woman received minor injuries, consistent with being assaulted.
A 33-year-old man was located with a knife and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of a blade or point in a public place. He remains in police custody at this time.
