Police have uncovered drugs thought to be valued in the region of £200,000 at a property in County Down.
A large number of cannabis plants and significant quantities of cannabis were found during a targeted proactive search operation by Banbridge Neighbourhood Team in Dromore earlier today.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested and will be questioned on suspicion of a number of drugs offences including cultivating cannabis and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Inspector Quinn said: “Cannabis factories such as this one often have links to serious or organised crime. By shutting down this grow, we have helped to stop criminality in its tracks.
“Local police will continue to be relentless in our commitment to tackling the illegal supply of drugs, and prosecuting those who profit from the drugs trade.
“Drug supply and misuse is a vicious cycle and collectively as a society we each have a part to play in disrupting and ending the misery and harm generated.”
