
A man was assaulted as he left his Banbridge home to go to work on Monday morning.
The incident happened in the Moorefield area shortly after 5am.
Sergeant Stewart said: “We received a report at around 2.30pm on Monday, May 19 that a 35-year-old man had been assaulted by two unknown males at around 5.20am as he left his house to go to work.
“He sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment to these. This was a serious assault and our enquiries are ongoing.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have any information or may have witnessed the assault to contact police on 101, quoting reference number CW 894 of 19/05/25. We’re also appealing to anyone who might have dash-cam or other footage to get in touch with us.”
