The southbound carriageway of the A1 Dromore Road in Banbridge has reopened following a road traffic collision this evening (Friday).
Motorists are being advised that the northbound lanes remain closed at this time.
Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious incident.
A number of ambulance crews are on the scene. The Air Ambulance has landed on the carriageway.
Traffic had been at a standstill just after 6pm but diversions have since been put in place.
Avoid the area if you are heading towards Belfast this evening.
There are no further details at this stage.
