A petrol bomb and brick with a firework attached to it were thrown through the window of a property in Banbridge in the early hours of Saturday morning, October 20.
Police are appealing for information after the report of an incident at residential premises at the Iveagh Drive area of the town.
Constable Morrison said: “Sometime between 12.30am and 1am, it was reported that a petrol bomb was thrown through the window of an upstairs flat in the area.
“A brick with a firework tied to it was also thrown at the property. Three windows were damaged as a result of the incident.
“Minor smoke and fire damage was caused to the property, but no one was inside the property during the incident. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene and dealt with the fire.
“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 99 20/10/18.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
