Police investigate two arson attacks on cars parked at Banbridge house

Police are appealing for information following the report of an arson attack on a car whilst parked at a house in the Brookfield Meadows area of Banbridge.

It happened on the evening of Tuesday, March 8. police use this one

They are also investigating a second report of an arson attack on another car at the same property in the early hours of Wednesday, March 9.

Constable Stephen Higgins would ask anyone who was in the Brookfield area between 9.45pm on Tuesday and 3.30am on Wednesday and may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously to contact police at Banbridge on the non-emergency number 101.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police investigating these arson attacks arrested two men, aged 19 and 20. They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.
