Three people have been arrested following a vehicle pursuit that travelled through a number of policing districts, ending in a small Co Down village.
Police from Downpatrick Local Policing Team (LPT) and Newry LPT supported by colleagues from the Road Policing Unit – Mahon Road were all involved in the pursuit which started in Ballynahinch and ended in Dromara yesterday evening (Thursday).
“The driver’s manner of driving posed a significant risk to members of the public, making swift and coordinated police action essential,” said police.
Three individuals were arrested on suspicion of motoring and drug-related offences.
A police spokesperson added: “Police will continue to deal robustly with those who commit motoring offences and put others at risk – public safety remains our priority, and we will take action to keep our roads and communities safe.”
