A thief made off with bank cards and money after being disturbed as he burgled a county Armagh home over the weekend.
Detectives are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house located in the Church Rock area of Camlough.
It was reported that between the 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, June 24, a male described as being in his 30s, of a slim build, with dark hair and wearing a denim jacket gained entry to a house in the Church Rock area of Camlough via a bedroom window.
The male suspect was then disturbed by the home owners and made off with several bank cards and a sum of money.
The home owners were not injured as a result of the break in but were left badly shaken.
Detective Constable McCartan said: “We are appealing to anyone that may have any information, in particular we are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed a suspicious black hatchback car or the male suspect in the area at the time to contact detectives at Ardmore Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1404 of 24/06/17.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
