Cocaine worth £1,500 and fireworks seized from house in south Armagh earlier today (Wednesday).
Detectives have charged a 25-year-old man with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possessing fireworks without a licence.
He is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 23.
The charges are in connection with a proactive search of a house in O’Donoghue Park area of Bessbrook this morning by detectives from Criminal Investigations Branch organised crime unit.
Approximately £1,500 of suspected cocaine and a number of fireworks were seized during the search.
Detective Inspector Millar said: “We are committed to tackling the issue of drugs and would appeal to the public to speak to us if they have any concerns or information regarding drugs in their area.
