The funeral will take place on Tuesday of Bessbrook father-of-two Brian Phelan.
The 33-year-old died after a suspected stabbing incident on the Carrivekeeney Road area, near Newry.
It happened on Thursday, and first responders attended the incident shortly after 3.15pm, but Mr Phelan passed away from his injuries at the scene.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday, from his home at Carrick Vista, Bessbrook at 10.15am.
Requiem Mass will be at 11am in St Peter and Paul’s Church in the village.
Mr Phelan will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Georgia and Brian, parents Angela and Paddy, sisters Michelle and Ashling, grandfather, James Kearney.
Mr Phelan will be sadly missed by a wide circle of family and friends, including nieces Megan, Caileigh, Kayla, nephew Ryan, aunts, uncles, girlfriend Kelly, Georgia and Brian’s mother Amanda, brothers-in-law Stephen and Gavin, mother-in-law Ursula, brother-in-law James, sisters-in-law Danielle, Rebecca and Deborah.
Deepest sympathy is extended to all of them at this time.
A man has since appeared in court on Saturday charged with murdering the Bessbrook father.
Twenty-seven-year-old Daniel Carroll, from Edward Street in Portadown, appeared briefly before Newry Magistrates’ Court.
He was remanded in custody and will appear back in court, via videolink, on August 8.
