Three arrested in Bessbrook drugs investigation following afternoon searches

Police have arrested two women and a man on suspicion of a number of drugs offences following searches of residential properties in the Bessbrook area yesterday afternoon (Thursday, April 30).

Inspector Reynolds said: “Officers from Slieve Gullion Neighbourhood Policing Team, assisted by colleagues in Tactical Support Group, conducted searches and located a number of items believed to be associated with the production of Class B drugs.

“A woman aged in her 60s, a woman aged in her 30s and a man aged in his 30s were arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.

“They were later released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone who might have any information which might assist us to get in touch.

“The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 718 of 30/04/26.”
