Three men travelling in a silver Audi are believed to have been involved in a break-in at a house in Camlough.
The home in the Carrickcloughan Hill area was burgled on Thursday.
Slieve Gullion area councillor Oonagh Magennis is urging home owners in the Camlough area to be alert to suspicious activity following the shocking incident.
The Sinn Féin elected representative explained: “A robbery took place on Carrickcloughan Hill, Camlough on Thursday, September 12.
“A silver Audi A3 with false plates and three males inside was used in the robbery; one of them had his face covered.
“The home owners were left shaken and understandably very annoyed over it. No one ever wants their personal privacy and home invaded in such a nasty way.”
Councillor Magennis concluded: “I would urge everyone to be vigilant and alert to suspicious behaviour and report any such activities to the Police immediately. Those engaged in these criminal acts need to be apprehended.”
