Suckler outfits sold to £1360 for a sim cow and bull calf from a Kilkeel farmer. The same owner received £1060 for a Lim heifer and bull calf.
CULL COWS
The 95 cull cows sold in a steady demand. Cow/heifers from £150 to £188 for 470k at £885. Fleshed cows to £162 for 660k at £1070. Main demand from £130 to £146 per 100 kilos. Young friesians cows from £132 to £141 for 640k at £900. Friesians cows to £131.50 for 750k at £985. All fleshed lots from £118 to £130 per 100 kilos. Second quality from£100 to £115 per 100 kilos and the poorest types from £72 to £90 per 100 kilos. Aged bulls to £154 for 880k at £1355 and up to £1380 for 1040k (133). Clean cattle to £187.50 for 560k at £1050.
