The farming community are noted for being some of the most generous folk around, a sentiment echoed by auctioneer Richard Beattie when he is discussing the forthcoming Auction of Hope.

The ‘Auction of Hope’ will take place this Friday, the 8th April at 8pm and aims to raise significant funds to support two local charities, Air Ambulance NI (AANI) and Cancer Fund for Children and will be hosted on MartEye, an online sales platform. The auction will be staged at Glenpark Estate, Omagh and Richard Beattie extends a warm welcome to everyone who may like to join in the craic on the evening. Live bidding can also be done ringside at Glenpark.
This is the second time that the Air Ambulance Agribusiness Group have come together to organise this auction. The inaugural ‘Auction of Hope’ took place during lockdown in April 2021 and raised a phenomenal £92,450 for the two well-loved charities.
Libby Clarke, who is the driving force behind the event encourages everyone to get involved, “Excitement is building for this colourful event which will see an array of wonderful items come under the hammer, with auctioneer Richard Beattie on the rostrum. This year the auction will be different. Although the public can still watch the auction and take part online, they will also now be able to come along to the beautiful Glenpark estate where there will be a marquee for the public to take part in the auction and have a fabulous night- your Friday night is sorted. The auction will be followed by live music and plenty of craic!”
