A County Armagh company pleaded guilty and was fined £1,500 for three charges of unauthorised waste offending at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court, today.
Down Developments Limited was also ordered to pay court costs of £10, an offenders’ levy of £15 and a compensation order of £3,454.36.
Following an investigation by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, the company was found guilty of treating and depositing waste – concrete, brick, soil, clay, plastic, treated wood and metals – at its base in Quarry Business Park, Craigavon between January and September 2013.
