A county Armagh businessman admitted corporate manslaughter at Newry Crown Court today.
Alan Milne, 54, appeared in the dock as a representative of Nicole Enterprises and another co-accused company, Dieci Ltd.
Thomas Houston who was crushed when a caravan fell on him in February 2012.
The incident happened at Silvercove Caravan Park near Kilkeel, County Down.
Milne admitted to breaching health and safety regulations by failing to “ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees”.
It was reported by the BBC that the judge told Mr Houston’s family, who were sitting in the public gallery, that it was “particularly sad to see the demise of what was clearly a good husband and father and a very hard-working man”.
Milne was released on bail with the judge ordering him to appear at Newry Crown Court next month for arraignment.
