Brownlow Neighbourhood Policing Team are asking the local community to be vigilant of suspicious activity following a number of arson attacks.
Sergeant Alwyn Peters, Brownlow NPT, said: “Over the last two weeks we have had five incidents of arson in the Clonmeen, Enniskeen and Westacres areas. Wheelie bins, furniture and oil tanks have been set alight, usually during the every early hours of the morning.
“We want to see an end to these arsons before someone is seriously injured or loses their home.
“If you live in the local area please be vigilant and report any suspicious people or activity to us straight away on the 101 number, or 999 in an emergency. Please do not leave your bins out overnight if they are being emptied and keep gates to your property secured and locked.”
