A Craigavon teenager who is accused of raping a child under the age of 13 will face Crown Court proceedings next month.
The 19-year-old is also alleged to have engaged in a sexual act in front of the same female for the purpose of sexual gratification.
He appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with engaging in a sexual act in the presence of a child, causing or inciting a child to engage in a sexual activity and rape of a child under the age of 13.
As the charges were read, it was heard that all offences were alleged to have occurred between June 26, of 2018 and June 26, of 2019, with the same female injured party being involved in all occasions.
Standing in the dock, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution said that based on the papers before the court they believed there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence solicitor Chris McCann made no contrary submissions.
District Judge Paul Copeland stated that he was satisfied there was a case to answer.
Allen was remanded in custody to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on December 10 for arraignment.
