An investigation has been launched following the sudden death of a teenager in Craigavon earlier this morning (Thursday).
A 19-year-old woman was found unresponsive in a flat in the Drumgor Heights area.
SDLP Councillor for the area, Thomas Larkham, speaking to Armagh I, said: “This is the loss of a young life, and it’s obviously very shocking news to the local community. First and foremost, our thought and prayers are with the deceased’s family.
“From my understanding, this young girl was popular within the community; she had a very good network of friends and obviously was well liked.
“In that respect, we have to offer our condolences, there is a family grieving at the moment.”
He added: “The police are still at the scene conducting their investigation and we have to give them the space and time in order to do that.”
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed they attended the of a woman at an address at the Drumgor Heights area of Craigavon this morning (Thursday 28th January).
A spokesperson said: “A post mortem is due to be held to establish the cause of death. There are no further details at this time.”
