Man is charged in connection with discovery of cannabis plants worth ‘£105,000’ in Craigavon

A man is charged with cultivating cannabis plants worth an estimated ‘£105,000’ at Legahory Court in Craigavon.

Mindaugas Lengvinas, with an address listed as no fixed abode in Banbridge, is charged in relation to January 24, in 2022.

The 33-year-old is also charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply; dishonestly using electricity; criminal damage to an electric meter; and possession of a prohibited weapon – pepper spray.

He appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on March 7, via videolink from Maghaberry Prison, and was further remanded in custody.

It was said a co-accused had previously been in court.

Lengvinas’ case has been adjourned to March 21 for a Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send the case to the Crown Court.

The charges come after cannabis plants worth an estimated ‘£105,000’ were discovered during a search in a property at Legahory Court.
