Two children were among six people who escaped injury in a shooting in Craigavon, county Armagh last night.
A shot was fired through the kitchen window of the house at Lakeview Court in the Drumgor area.
The attack happened at about 10.10pm. Four adults and two children were inside the house at the time.
Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the shooting to contact them.
Ulster Unionist MLA Doug Beattie has hit out at those responsible.
The Upper Bann MLA said: “This is deeply worrying news coming through this morning. A family home, with children upstairs in bed, was attacked in the hours of darkness.
“We again are seeing the use of firearms on the streets of Craigavon, and we could well have been facing a fatality here this morning.
“I would encourage anyone with any information to contact the PSNI by phoning 101.
“We cannot allow this behaviour to prevail in our society, in Craigavon or indeed anywhere else.”
