A commercial enterprise in Crossmaglen could more than double in size under major expansion plans.
Glen Plastics, which is based at Keady Road, specialises in making PVC moulded products from waste plastic.
The single storey commercial building could see a second floor added if Newry, Mourne and Down District Council agrees.
An application has been submitted in the name of Patrick Conlon.
The proposals detail a second floor, as well as a two-storey extension to provide a staircase and elevator to access the new second storey level.
It would see the business grow from 531 sq metres to 1,147 sq metres.
It is understood the development – estimated by Construction Information Services to cost close to £800,000 – could lead to a small number of jobs being created.
The application is due to be advertised next week with a decision returned in due course.
