A Crossmaglen man is to face Crown Court proceedings over allegations he gave false information in a witness statement.
Kevin Hamill, 31, of Concession Road, appeared charged with doing an act with the intention to pervert the course of justice at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Court heard that the defendant was accused of making a witness statement which contained false information on December 4.
During a preliminary enquiry of the case prosecution stated that based on the papers there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence counsel made no contrary submissions.
Hamill was released on his own bail of £250 to appear before Newry Crown Court on June 6.
