A man has been charged with the murder of a Crossmaglen pensioner.
Michael McConville (74) was discovered in the bathroom of his home in the Annaghmare Road area on Saturday afternoon.
He died from serious injuries.
The 67-year-old suspect arrested a short time after the incident, with police granted two separate time extensions to question him in connection with Mr McConville’s death.
This evening (Wednesday), detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team charged him with murder.
The man is expected to appear before Banbridge Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Newry, tomorrow, Thursday, June 20.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
