A man has appeared in court charged with a a series of offences in relation to an incident in a shop in south Armagh.
The 33-year-old man from the area was charged with grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and threats to kill.
The charges stem from an incident at a shop in Crossmaglen in the early evening of Wednesday, February 21.
He appeared before Newry Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday) in relation to the charges.
He was arrested by detectives investigating the report of a shooting incident in the Cloghoge Road area of Cullyhanna around 11pm that same night.
However, the charges do not relate to this incident and inquiries into the shooting remain ongoing.
