A Crossmaglen schoolboy is hosting a Spin-a-Thon to raise money for two great causes.
Fifteen-year-old Eoghan McMahon will hold the fundraiser on April 1 in St Joseph’s High School.
Proceeds will go to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Camps International Humanitarian Project in Kenya.
Despite the heavy demands of his GCSE studies, Eoghan felt that he ‘just wanted to do something’ for these two causes.
In July 2018, Eoghan will travel to Kenya where he will visit underprivileged areas and work on projects which transform communities and help them overcome significant issues they face including access to clean water, education and housing.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust assisted Eoghan’s family back in November 2016 following the sudden death in Canada of Eamon Bennett Jnr, of Mullaghbawn and Kilcurry.
The KBRT works with bereaved families to help them repatriate their loved ones back to Ireland following a sudden or tragic death abroad.
The family were overwhelmed by the assistance and support offered by the KBRT at such a difficult time and are keen to express their appreciation.
